Saturday was our annual paintout at Parley Lake Winery in Waconia, MN. It was also my first plein air outing of the year. Admittedly I'm a very fair weather plein air artist - too hot, too cold, too wet?

Ummm....not so much. I wait for the "just right" days. But this was a beautiful day, not only weather wise, the scenery, ambiance, wine tasting, wood fired pizzas and camaraderie made it a perfect day.

This was my first painting. A scene I had been thinking about since last year's event. Not of the winery itself but the view across the road. I love the rolling hills and open pastures in this area.
