Title: Apple Lane
this is the time of the year when garden catalogs arrive and we order our seeds and plants for the gardens. We plant them and nourish them with great hopes for the future Years disappear and suddenly they are grown. Apple Lane, years ago this was planted with great care and now it's a lovely apple orchard planted in the valley along side the river against a great rocky outcropping. The road to apple lane is sunkissed as the light travels across the grasses and wildflowers that aline the road.
24 x 30 Studio oil painting on linen created from reference my plein air painting.

Lake Windigo's Morning Greeting by Mn artist Joni Finnegan
Lake Windigo's Morning Greeting
Lake Windigo's Morning Greeting A waterscape Painting.. A sweet memory of an absolutely perfect October morning. I headed out early with my camera, walking thru the woods, bracket and bramble then waded thru backwaters to find the perfect view when the sun made it's morning appearance. It was worth it all. The light moved far too fast for a true plein air painting so I settled for a few camera shots and color notes on canvas. Then picked it up again this week- in the cozy warm comfort of my studio. Those good color notes made this painting a joy.. my brushes seemed to sing on the canvas. I enjoy all of the paintings that I do but some are different than others, like a sweet simple melody Size 6x12 oil painting on Linen by Mn Artist Joni Finnegan To view more of my art go to www.cfai.co/jonifinnegan/ www.jonifinnegan.com

Blue Winter Walk Joni Finnegan Mn Artist

About this Painting: 11x14 Oil on artist panel to purchase contact me To see more of my art go to
Winter painting, I finished this in my studio today, from a reference photo taken when we had a picture perfect early December Snow in Minn. I loved the challenge of capturing the mood of a flat light , Doesn't it make you want to walk into the tree lined path?
