Winter in the midwest provides artists with splendid uninterrupted time creating. In my case that means painting in my studio,- finally getting thru those reference sketches and photos that were set aside for quieter days.
I live in the country were its possible to be snowed in for weeks at a time, getting out on snowshoes to take care of my chickens. Some days they are my "social outing" I talk to them and they communicate with body language and vocal chattering.
Good inspiration for fun little paintings- this one no exception. Hatticus has great personality- one of several "family Portraits" I've done this week.
